Audi finished the year in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Bahrain in second place. The World Championship winning team* had to admit defeat only for the second time in eight races and can look back on a highly successful sporting season.

Four trophies for the four rings: Audi has won four awards at this year’s “Auto Trophy”. For the 26th time, “Auto Zeitung” invited its readers to vote for the best cars across all categories. 103,074 of them took the opportunity to have their say. The Audi A1, Audi A3 Cabriolet and Audi A6 each came top of their category.

Audi has given eight young talents the opportunity to gather experience in the cockpit of an Audi A4 DTM at a scouting event. With instructions provided by the two factory drivers Timo Scheider and Adrien Tambay they completed an extensive program of testing on and off the track for three days in Spain.

Audi’s endurance race team led by Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich and Chris Reinke, Head of LMP, has achieved all sporting aims in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) early this season. Therefore, the finale on November 30 will be the icing on the cake for Audi Sport Team Joest.
