The 2018 Audi Q7 has earned the Good Housekeeping 2018 “Best New Car” awardin the luxury mid-size SUV category.

The annual Good Housekeeping “Best New Car” Awards are determined by experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute, in partnership with Car and Driver, and are based on safety, value, handling, design and comfort, and technology. More than 100 vehicles were screened, with the top 25 driven by engineers over 3,000 miles on test tracks and open roads to determine winners in 12 categories.

“The Audi Q7 continues to set new standards in the luxury SUV segment with its exceptional driving experience, premium comfort, innovative technologies and advanced driver assistance systems,” said Scott Keogh, president, Audi of America. “These are the things that have made the Q7 a favorite with our customers, and we’re honored to have it recognized as a Best New Car by Good Housekeeping.”

This is the third year in a row that Audi has received a Good Housekeeping “Best New Car” award: in 2017, the A4 was awarded in the luxury sedan category, and in 2016, the A3 was awarded in the luxury compact category.

The 2018 Q7 features the brand’s signature fit and finish, clean and simple lines, and provides a premium driving experience with space for up to seven passengers. Standard panoramic sunroof with power sunshade brings light into the cabin while available Bang & Olufsen® 3D Advanced Sound System provides an exceptional auditory experience.

Offering benchmark infotainment, the Q7 features the available Audi virtual cockpit, which transforms the way the driver interacts with the vehicle through a digital dashboard that renders 3D graphics with striking clarity. Newly available Audi smartphone interface offers Apple CarPlay™ and Google™ Android Auto integration. Available color head-up display projects relevant information in the driver’s field of vision.

The Q7’s advanced driver assistance systems are designed to help drivers navigate the road and traffic with confidence. Standard Audi pre sense® basic and city can help prepare the vehicle for impact in the case of an impending front collision. Available Audi pre sense rear helps monitor the traffic following the vehicle and takes similar actions to Audi pre sense basic. Available Audi side assist helps provide blind spot monitoring with LED indicators on the side-view mirror housing.

Two powertrain combinations are available on the Q7 – the 3.0-liter TFSI® V6 engine or the 2.0-liter TFSI® four-cylinder engine. Starting at $49,000*, the well-equipped Q7 with 2.0T engine offers a more accessible luxury SUV option. Both engines are equipped with quattro® all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission.
