2022 Audi RS3 Can Allegedly Hit the 62 MPH in 3.1 Seconds

We join Auditography for another exciting video where the all-new 2022 Audi RS3 drifts around the Austrian Alps sporting a menacing Mythos Black paint job.

Like us, Auditography also has a soft spot for sporty offerings from the Ingolstadt brand. The YouTube channel’s latest video features an all-black 2022 Audi RS3 sedan, which dances around the winding roads of the Austrian Alps. We recently discussed another Auditography video that featured an Audi S3 equipped with Motoren Technik Mayer’s Stage 3 tuning kit.

Unlike the 2-liter four-cylinder engine of the German tuner’s super hatch, a stock albeit much larger 2.5-liter five-cylinder powerplant sits under the hood of the 2022 Audi RS3 sedan. The motor produces 401 HP of maximum power and 360 lb-ft of peak torque courtesy of its turbocharger setup. It’s between 5600 and 7000 RPM that one gets to truly experience the incredible power of this RS3’s TFSI engine.

The RS3 didn’t receive an update for the 2021 model year. In comparison to the previous model, the powerplant of the new model only produces one horsepower more than its predecessor. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox redirects the power to all four wheels.

2022 Audi RS3 Can Allegedly Hit the 62 MPH in 3.1 Seconds

Auditography claims that the 2022 Audi RS3 hit the 62 MPH mark in just 3.1 seconds during their testing.

According to Audi, its sporty new limousine can accelerate to 62 MPH from a complete standstill in just 3.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 180 MPH. Throughout the video, we are also greeted by cinematic shots of the RS3 sliding through the Winter Wonderland of the Austrian Alps.

We also get to cherish the intoxicating exhaust note of the sports sedan’s new active exhaust. Audi plans to become an electric-only brand by 2033 and will soon phase out its internal combustion powertrains, making videos like these all the more special. The Darth Vader of Audi’s product portfolio dominates the snowy terrains with ease thanks to its Quattro all-wheel-drive setup.

Audi offers the 2022 RS3 with a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. The car seen in the video rides on winter tires and sports Audi’s rich Mythos black paint option. In its murdered out garb, the Audi RS3 looks genuinely menacing. The all-black color scheme also extends to the interiors of this RS3.
