· Award adds to long list of accolades for Audi magazine

Herndon – Audi magazine – the official customer publication of Audi of America – was honored by The American Advertising Federation with the prestigious 2013 National Silver ADDY® Award. The ADDY® Awards – the advertising industry’s largest competition, which drew nearly 40,000 entrants this year – recognizes and rewards creative excellence in the art of advertising.

Designory, the Audi of America brand design and content agency, received the award for its work on the magazine.

Audi magazine – known for its innovative design, opulent visuals and informative articles – is available in print, online in digital format, or as a free app on iTunes®. The customer magazine covers a breadth of subjects including new vehicle launches, insights on Audi innovations, and features on art, design and technology. Designory received the National Silver ADDY for the magazine in the Publication Design division of the Collateral Material category.

“It’s easy to win awards when you write about a brand like Audi,” said Jay Brida, the Editor-in-Chief of Audi magazine. “As a company, Audi takes risks and produces great luxury automobiles. But better still, as a client, Audi lets us experiment with designs, materials and stories that might be a little beyond its comfort zone. It’s a great working relationship that reinforces the chances of further successes.”

The ADDY Awards – which culminated at a special reception in Arizona – is a three-tier, national competition. This year, Designory was recognized for Audi magazine as a winner in the Los Angeles market, and then went on to compete against other winners in one of 15 district competitions. The agency was then forwarded to the third tier, the national competition.

Over the years, Audi magazine – with its “drive,” “move” and “inspire” sections centered on automobile, sports and lifestyle – has won numerous awards including Print’s Regional Design Annual, International Automotive Advertising Awards and multiple Los Angeles ADDY awards in 2011 and 2012.
