With effect from 1st August 2005, Jeremy Hicks is appointed Director of Audi UK to oversee the next chapter in the German prestige brand’s remarkable UK sales success story. Jeremy, moving from his position as Head of Group Service in the Volkswagen Group UK, takes over from Kevin Rose, who had led Audi UK from 1999 until this year.

Kevin Rose is appointed to a new Senior Volkswagen role at the Group’s World-wide headquarters in Wolfsburg, having overseen exceptional Audi sales which, in six years, have almost doubled to approaching 80,000 last year.

Jeremy, 43, has been with the Volkswagen Group UK for almost six years. He brings with him a wealth of experience from a variety of key industry roles including 14 years with GM and also with the Quadrangle consultancy.

Allan Rushforth will succeed Jeremy Hicks as Head of Group Services within the Volkswagen Group UK, and will join the Board of Management. Allan will commence his new appointment on 1st October 2005, enabling him to oversee the key sales month of September at Audi.

Allan has 18 years motor industry experience, and moved to Audi in 1999 from his role as Sales Director at Land Rover UK. Audi will be making an announcement about his successor shortly.

Audi led UK sales of the premium segment in the first quarter of 2005 for the first time. UK sales have risen from 40,000 units in 2000 to exceed 77,000 last year. Through the introduction of a succession of new models, Audi will see new UK sales records set this year, in 2006 and beyond.
