Audi also presents itself as true winter sport partner in Oberstdorf, and is in the thick of the action as official main sponsor when the 556 athletes from 52 nations meet at the season’s highlight.

The organisers expect at least 300,000 visitors to attend the ski jumping and cross country skiing competitions. In addition many millions of winter sport fans from around the world will be glued in front of their televisions. The German Ski Association (DSV), who AUDI AG has been a partner to for 20 years already, has nominated a total of 24 athletes for the finals.

As well as the Audi brand name appearing on banners, start number bibs and in the start and finish areas, the guests will also witness a premiere: Among the 90 shuttle vehicles are 30 new Audi A6 Avant quattro models, which will make their first big public appearance. The involvement in winter sport is an important stage for Audi to demonstrate “Vorsprung durch Technik” internationally. Alongside the partnership with Oberstdorf, Audi was also Presenting Sponsor of the Alpine Ski World Championships in Bormio and lends its name to the entire Alpine Ski World Cup.
