Audi’s Record November Sales Led by Major Markets

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Audi of America, Inc. reached a new record in sales for the month of November with 9,209 vehicles sold. This was a 16.4% increase over the same period last year. While the vast majority of Audi’s regions showed an increase in sales, New York, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles were the keys to Audi’s success in November. This news follows the recent AUDI AG announcement that worldwide November sales were up 8.1% with 75,250 vehicles sold. Audi is on pace to sell over 900,000 vehicles worldwide for 2006.

Los Angeles, one of Audi’s fastest growing markets, posted a 43% increase over the previous year. The A4 sedan totaled 586 sales, up nearly 75% over last year. The Miami sales were up 35% in November, with the A4 sedan carried the largest improvement with a 62% jump in sales.

The Chicago consumers pushed Audi sales up 32% for the month of November, and showed increases across all model lines as well. The A3, A4 sedan, Avant, and Cabriolet, the A6 sedan, and the A8 model lines all posted sales increases of 58% or higher. The A4 sedan and Avant models each had increases of over 120% from the previous November.

New York, Audi’s largest market, posted an increase of 21% for the month. The A4 sedan had the largest increase for this region as well with 582 sales, a 33% improvement.

Other regions with notable increases for November were Dallas/Ft. Worth with 106%, Minneapolis with 65%, Cleveland with 40%, Cincinnati with 36%, and Phoenix with 34%.
