Handelsblatt votes Audi its automobile brand of the year
Audi is the Germans’ favorite car brand: That was the finding of the German publication Handelsblatt online and the YouGov opinion research institute in a joint survey conducted for “Brand of the Year 2015.” The results are based on a total of 700,000 interviews covering 735 different brands. Handelsblatt published its ranking for the second time. After finishing second last year, Audi captured top spot in the latest survey.

Daily Telegraph Cars Award – Audi sweeps the board
Audi came away from the Cars Award of the British daily newspaper “The Daily Telegraph” with three accolades. At the awards ceremony in London the Audi TT Coupé was declared “Best Sports Car”, while the Audi A3 earned the distinctions of “Best Family Car” and “Best Design of the Year.” Readers rated the cars in ten different categories, which covered such aspects as driving enjoyment and dashboard layout. In every case the Audi A3 achieved ten out of ten.

Audi A3 e-tron awarded KS Energy and Environment Prize
In the international automotive and accessories industry the Energy and Environment Prize awarded by the automobile club “Kraftfahr-Schutz e. V.”(KS) is viewed as an acknowledgment of fuel economy. This year’s winner was the Audi A3 e‑tron plug-in hybrid.

Another safety distinction for Audi
The Audi Q3 has scooped the Top Safety Pick 2015 in the United States and achieved the highest rating of “good” for its safety. This result was confirmed by the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which each year tests the crash safety of automobiles in all vehicle categories.

Tradespeople impressed by Audi A6 and Audi A4
The Audi A6 has won the full-size category in the reader poll staged by handwerk magazin to find the Company Boss Station Wagon 2015, and the A4 Avant prevailed in the midsize category. 1,791 readers considered the Audi A6 to be the best station wagon for a trade company. The contenders comprised six models in the full-size category and 18 automobiles in the midsize category. With the A6 Avant, Audi has staged a successful defense of the title it won in 2014.

Audi Entertainment mobile voted “Product of the Year”
Audi came out on top in the twelfth Plus X Awards in the “Product of the Year” category. The brand with the four rings also won the Innovation, High Quality, Design, Operating Convenience and Functionality categories with its “Audi Entertainment mobile” tablet. The multifunction tablet is the first on the market to which games consoles or other external data carriers can very easily be connected. In the Plus X Awards, experts from 27 different industries celebrate the top-performing and most innovative products in technology, sport and lifestyle.

Audi builds the most family-friendly Car of the Year in its class
The title of “Family Car of the Year” goes to the Audi Q5. This was the verdict of the reader poll by the magazines Straßenverkehr and Eltern. Overall, 19,535 readers rated 150 models in seven different price categories. In the EUR 35,000 to 40,000 category the Audi Q5 emerged as winner, with 23.7 percent of the votes. It thus enjoyed a clear lead over the BMW X3 and the Volvo V70, which polled only 16.2 percent and 12.3 percent respectively.

Double victory in Auto Test 2015
Since 2008 the magazine Auto Test has been conducting tests on around 500 models each year. For the past three years the testers have also been giving awards to the top achievers for value for money. In 2015 this distinction goes to the Audi A4 1.8 TFSI in the midsize category, and to the Audi A6 2.0 TDI ultra in the upper midsize category.

EuroCarBody 2015 – second place for Audi Q7
The Audi Q7 is a prizewinner in the EuroCarBody Awards 2015. An international panel of experts awarded second place to the body with the multi-material construction principle. With its weight saving of 71 kilograms (156.5 lb) it plays a key role in the lightweight construction concept of Audi’s biggest SUV. The Q7 is the first model with a body based on the MLB evo platform. The new multimaterial construction principle integrates large components made from heat-formed steel and aluminum, and involves innovative joining techniques. Audi introduced two newly developed joining techniques here: friction element welding and special hollow punch riveting. Depending on engine version, the Audi Q7 is as much as 325 kilograms (716.5 lb) lighter than its predecessor.
