In the “Autonis 2003” readers’ poll, Audi models took the top positions in three of the 12 categories, in a total field comprising 326 models from Germany and abroad. The prize for the best car design, awarded for the first time in 2000 by the Berlin-based automobile magazine AUTO Strassenverkehr, was presented this year for the first time in cooperation with the sister magazine ‘mot’, which is published in Stuttgart.

The Audi A8 headed the large luxury class by a handsome margin, the Audi A4 won the “midsize” category and first place among the convertibles went to the Audi A4 Cabriolet.

With these clear decisions, 46,415 well-informed readers confirmed their response to Audi’s charismatic, expressive design approach which, with its trend-setting formal concepts, combines emotion and precision with all the dynamism and clarity typical of the brand.

The trophies were presented to Dr. Martin Winterkorn (Chairman of the AUDI AG Board of Management), Walter de Silva (Head of Audi Brand Group Design) and Gerhard Pfefferle (Head of Audi Design).
