Audi’s 600-HP TT Clubsport is NUTS!

By -

Small, lightweight, six-speed, AWD, turbo, 600 hp. Let’s face it, this is the perfect Audi.

The folks at Hoonigan have a pretty cool gig on their hands. If they’re not developing their own tire-shredding machinery, they’re hosting guests and test-driving their tire-shredding machinery. But this time it’s a little different, and it involves one of the sweetest Audis we’ve ever laid our eyes on.

It’s called the Audi TT Clubsport Biturbo, and as the title on this video recently uploaded by TheHoonigans implies — it is a 600-horsepower, AWD monster!

Making things even more different for this episode, is the fact that there’s an official manufacturer representative accompanying the TT. His name is Dr. Rouven Mohr, and he is the head of Whole Vehicle Development at Lamborghini. We’re not quite sure exactly what that means, but we can clearly see that it comes with quite a few perks.

Mohr explains that the design is inspired by Audi’s old-school race cars from the ’80s, such as the Audi S1, Quattro, and others. Despite it being an Audi TT, parts like the hood, fenders, etc. were specifically manufactured for this SEMA-bound hot rod. Of course, there’s the elephant in the room — the enormous rear wing!
As you take a look inside, there’s actually very little to look at, but the devil is in the details. The rollbar is made out of titanium and is tied to the chassis and integrated into the headliner. Therefore, it’s lightweight, strong, and like most of Audi’s racecars, it retains a certain level of a stock look to it.
Then we get to the cool part, the five-cylinder 600 horsepower motor! It delivers torque directly from low revs thanks to an electric turbocharger and it sounds like a rally monster. Last but not least, the car was actually driven to Hoonigan HQ and not trailered.
Rock on, Audi!
