This Modified Audi 200 Launches Harder Than You Can Imagine
The 1991 Audi 200 Avant is more than your typical Winter “beater,” as there is much more than meets the eye. This particular 200 features a fully built version of the 20-valve Inline-5 cylinder engine, bored out to 2.3L of displacement, using lightened and strengthened rods and pistons, matched to a hotter head cylinder with upsized valves and hotter cams. All of that is paired to hybrid K26/EFR6758 turbocharger, fueled with E85 and street tuned by the owner. The end result sounds savage, and goes just as well. Utilizing an anti-lag launch control system to spool the turbo certainly helps this nutty Audi get off the line.
