New Audi AG Board Member to be Appointed

On 1st January 2003, Rupert Stadler, 39, will be appointed a Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, initially without a specific area of responsibility. He will assume the responsibility of Board Member for Finance and Organisation as of 1st April 2003. Stadler will be the successor of Peter Abele, who will be retiring on 31st March 2003.

Rupert Stadler has been with the Volkswagen Group for 12 years, most recently as head of the General Secretariat of the Chairman of the Volkswagen Group, and also as Head of Group Product Planning.
