All three Audi R8 LMS teams finished in the top six, after one of the toughest 24-hour races in recent memory; overcoming 15 hours of rain, near-freezing temperatures and 21 yellow flags.

In one of the most challenging and competitive races to kick off the IMSA 2017 season, the #29 Audi R8 LMS of Land Motorsports took second place following a nail-biting finish that was separated by less than three-tenths of second after 24- hours of racing. All three Audi R8 LMS teams finished in the top six spots, capturing valuable points which place Audi in striking distance for the lead in the championship.

The #57 of Stevenson Motorsports returned to Daytona for the second time in the Audi R8 LMS, this time running a flawless race and delivering an impressive fourth place finish less than six seconds behind the class winner. Stevenson Motorsports’ smart strategy, strong crew and  skilled drivers were the force behind their success.

The #23 Audi R8 LMS of Alex Job Racing finished in sixth place in their first race with the new car. Achieving a sixth place finish after receiving a significant penalty early in the race, wet and almost icy track conditions and a radio communications issue showcases the drive, talent and professionalism of this storied race team.
