epic Audi drag races

RS3 versus a Lambo, Audi V10 versus electricity, and a modified TT RS versus a tuned McLaren. These epic Audi drag races have it all.

Somedays you just need to watch a good drag race to lift yourself out of the doldrums. But if you really want to get your heart pumping you might need a bit more. And for those folks we got you covered. We pulled three epic Audi drag races that are sure to get the blood flowing. Between the three races there is a little bit of everything. An overachieving 5-cylinder RS3 going against a massive V12-powered Aventador. An Audi vs. Audi battle with a V10 going against an EV. And finally, a fully built Audi TT RS facing off against a tuned McLaren 720S.

We will get to the specific videos in a moment but collectively they show us something about drag racing. And that is you really never know what the heck is going to happen. Engine size doesn’t matter, price tag doesn’t matter, and tires don’t matter. OK, well maybe those things do matter a little bit, but they alone can not predict the outcome of a drag race. The other thing we learn by watching these videos is that Audi has some damn quick cars, and they can be modified to go a lot quicker. Let’s get to the racing.

RS3 vs. Aventador

Drag race

The Audi RS3 is a quick little sedan. 400 horsepower and able to hit 60 mph in about three and a half seconds the RS3 is a perfect daily driver with serious performance chops. But an Aventator is a full-on supercar. Big V12 engine and a shape that would look at home on the pages of a DC comic book. The Audi has no chance, right? Well, Congress could pass a bill faster than the Lambo driver reacts to the lights. The rest is history. Check out the video below courtesy of the Wheels Plus YouTube channel.

V10 vs. Electric

R8 vs. RS e-tron GT

In the next race we know an Audi is going to win but which one? Will it be the V10-powered R8? Or the all-electric RS e-tron GT? Nowadays when betting on a drag race it is always a good idea to favor the EV. All the instant power available in an EV makes them tough to beat on the drag strip. But not unbeatable. Our Slovak is a bit rusty so we can’t tell exactly what modifications have been made to the cars. But there is no question that they are both quick and evenly matched. TT RS vs. 720S

TT RS

Like the RS3, the TT RS is quite a quick performance car. But also, like the RS3, in the third installment of these epic Audi drag races the TT RS is up against a supercar. And not just a stock supercar a tuned McLaren 720S. But the TT RS is not stock either. In fact, it has a modification list as long as your arm. It is now putting out darn near 4-digit horsepower numbers. And it has the advantage of sending that power to all four wheels. The 720S fires all the power to the back. The two cars race from a roll and a dig. The results may surprise you. Checkout the video posted on the Officially Gassed YouTube channel to see the little Audi mix it up with the mighty McLaren.
