1.8 AEB exhaust manifold leak
Hi ! Did find a leak from the exhaust manifold. I have placed an arrow on the leak, i cannot see it, because its on the back.
Have any other have this leak ? What will you say its the problem ?
Loose bolt, or crack or defektive gasket ?
Is it easy to take of ?
I did tighten one of the bolts for a little while, the leak did go smaller, but now, it is back again.
I will not tight too much, dont know how much they can be tighten.

Wow i have yet to see studs there before, just tighten them until they are fairly snug. If they keel loosening up remove the nuts and replace them with locking type nuts.

The bolts have been replaced by a workshop for a while ago, its not the original.
If i need to change the gasket there, is that an easy replacement or is it hard to do ?

Well if it had the original bolts it would be as easy as remove the bolts slide out the gasket and slide in the new one. Since somebody put studs, you need to try and remove the studs, if they wont come out, the turbo must be removed.
