cracked oil pan...thoughts

Default cracked oil pan...thoughts

Cracked oil pan after hitting a rock....pulled over 5 seconds after hitting it and car was running fine...given picture and facts do you think my car is going to be okay?

If you were able to shut it off relatively quickly then you should be fine. I would recommending replacing the pan instead of trying to get the piece welded back on this one.

I was working at a ford dealership a while ago and saw a technician run a 3v ford f150 with absolutely no oil in it for a minute or two before he realized. He filled it, and it ran fine. I was shocked
