I'm new to audi world and wasn't sure where to post this, but here's my issue. I have a 1998 A6 quattro 2.8l, automatic transmission, with 113,000 on it. Just last week I noticed a slight hesitation or chugging when I am accelerating. When I'm at a constant speed the chugging goes away, only to re appear when I need to accelerate. When the chugging happens I can accelerate through it if I get the rpms above 3,000. The chugging is worse at lower speeds, around 30-45 mph, but does happen at all speeds. Seems to be lacking power as well.

I changed the spark plugs and the fuel filter, but the chugging is still there. I know I should have already checked what codes come up, and I plan on doing so shortly. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

disconnect your MAF and take a ride.\
it cured it for me.
either my MAF is very dirty or it needs replacing.
you should also change air filter and clean throttle body.
don't forget to recalibrate afterwards.

So the code that came up was for a cylinder 1 misfire. I have now changed the plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and the ignition coil. The car still misfires. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired of throwing money at this problem!

get new injector seals, and switch you injectors around. might be a faulty injector. also, aren't you a 30v v6 and not a 12v?
