I am looking for a air compressor to run some air tools such as an impact wrench. Can someone help?
I was wondering what specs I should be looking at. Such as how many gallons and how many PSI I should be looking for or anything else I should consider. I am looking for an electic one because I assume that I shouldn't be running a gas powered one in an enclosed garage.
TIA!
TIA!

Here's a craftsman one that I found which seemed like a good deal.
I like the idea of a vertical tank.<ul><li><a href="http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&am p;pid=00916644000&tab=spe#tablink">Craftsman 15 gal. Air Compressor, 3 hp. Vertical Tank</a></li></ul>

Some research I've done suggested something a little more powerful
and maybe a bigger tank. Found this one at Lowes. I like the quietier operation it claims plus it's 6.1 SCFM at 90 psi.<ul><li><a href="http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=16060-1126-WL6117">Campbell Hausfeld 28 Gallon 150 PSI Lo-Tone Air Compressor</a></li></ul>

My suggestion...
I would definitely get the bigger compressor. I'm sure the one you listed below will be fine.
More importantly, whatever you do, don't buy the Craftsman air tools. Not because they aren't any good, but rather because they are WAY over-priced. 95% of them are re-branded Ingersol-Rand or Chicago Pneumatic. If you look at the Craftsman catalog, you can even compare the pictures since they also sell the other brands. I personally like Ingersoll-Rand as an entry level air tool. They are cheap and so far, very reliable. I do oil them before each use, but other than that, nothing special.
Do not go for the tools that come with the compressor, they are almost always very inadequate.
A good impact wrench is essential. My next two most useful tools are an air saw and cut-off tool. I's also suggest the little boot that you can buy to protect the impact wrench.
I also use Ingersoll-Rand impact sockets. These were probably the best tool deal that I've ever gotten, but they don't look like they are for sale any more.<ul><li><a href="http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net">I buy all of my air tools here.</a></li></ul>
