At a loss over severe power loss.. HELP :(
So... This all started a couple months ago and as far as I can recall it happened rather suddenly possibly overnight.
Essentially all power is gone beyond about 3500 rpm. Some power loss below that but it's hardly noticeable if you're just cruising along slowly.
To give you an idea, getting to 60mph takes about 30 seconds. going from 5k to 6k rpm in second gear, pedal to the metal takes about 10 seconds.
I have no CEL, I had the injectors cleaned, I have a brand new air filter. It just seems as though the engine's not getting enough air or fuel to run well after 3000 rpm or so. Only other systems I can think about are the fuel filter, but the problem seems to have appeared too quickly to be a gradual congestion of the fuel filter. Either that or clogged cats? also seems way too sudden.
Is there some type of limp mode? Do my symptoms line up?
Only other detail I can give it that the oil service and "In1" (major service indicator) lights have been on for some time as I do my own maintenance and don't know how to reset this. I think the problem appeared before the In1 indicator though.
All thoughts and suggestions are appreciated guys.
TIA,
Greg

May have found it...
Throttle cable seems to be falling apart, just reving the engine from under the hood seems to kae it rev up about 3 times faster than with the pedal.... Stupid. Now to hope the dealer won't want a kidney....

I suspect the bike cable won't have quite the brackets, grommets, and spec length of OEM...
And it won't help me snake it through the firewall either
