Yours is the plastic manifold-ed version I suppose, so that site is not totally applicable. Your B5 shares the same rear suspension as the B4s, so you will find info on that at the 80/90 Forum here:

see also the B5 Forum:

You may want a Bentley Publishers manual (on CD) for A4s but that may be North American centric also.

You may already have most of what you....
need. It is my humble observation that the folks who often appear to be having the most amount of fun at a driving event, are those with the least amount of "performance parts".
Consider an entire week-end away at just a driving school event. What do you want to spend your time doing? Your already travelling, getting to and from the accomodations, finding food, tech-ing your car, trying to meet the various time-lines, waiting, trying to stay awake, briefings, the actual driving part, then back-wards through the same list again. For these activities, I want a car that is dead-reliable, quiet, comfortable, doesn't attract attention, and affordable for the long-term. Kind of like a normal car, only "better". But better can be a double-edged sword.
Like several others, this forum contains many archived conversations about near endless hours of worthwhile improvements, few of which are simple purchases and or parts replacement. This is actually the case because most of the bits on our cars are already pretty good.
Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if even your 2.6 (just thinking of its possible age) could use some basic attention to ensure it would:
pull decent vacuum;
get decent fuel mileage;
not have any trouble-lights or drive-ability issues;
not overheat;
not drip oil on the track;
not blow it's crankcase oil out through the vents;
not blow its oil out the broken heat-exchager O-ring;
not catch fire due to leaking injector O-rings;
not throw its timing belt due to an aged tensioner or waterpump;
have near new rotors and discs fully bedded;
have fresh brake fluid flushed through and bled;
have the powdered steel removed from the power-steering system;
have all the play out of all the suspension joints;
have some decent dampers to be (lightly sprung and moderately damped) comfortable;
Oh yah - have some decent tires; and
get you safely home.
If my car could do all that, it is indeed a performance car.
Once again some of the below may not apply to your exact vehicle, but it may give you a window into some performance possibilities through preparation of largely OEM parts.

Lago, that motor pic, I assume this is an early 2.8? Looks like a vacuum pump on the passenger bank, and an electric oil pressure sender and pressure switch on the driver's bank.

That would be a cam sensor i would think. 3 wires just like the other cam sensors. And on the end of a cam. Cool picture, definatly a pre production engine pic or one from another country. Maybe cam is more aggressive so the vacuum is too low for the brake booster and needs that vacuum pump.
