Default Starting Problem, starts up and dies 2 seconds after.

My '96 A4 will start up and die 2 seconds after. I took out the Idle control stabilizer valve and cleaned it and replaced the coolant temperature sensor while I was down there. After putting everything back together the car started right up and maintained an idle for about 2 minutes until I turned off the ignition. I thought I fixed it. I come back 5 min later and try to start the car and now it won't even turn over. WTF Got my friend to jump my car and it still won't turn over. Does anyone have any ideas? My car is sitting on my driveway on an incline so it might be a fueling issue but why would it start and maintain an idle the first time?

Default Whoa. Hang on.

Stop changing parts for no reason.

You mean the car spun over but didn't start, or it won't spin over?

If it won't spin over, check voltage to starter, if you have 12v at the starter and 12v switched at the solenoid, but it won't spin, replace the starter.

If it spins and won't catch, you need to figure out what you are missing. Compression, fuel or spark. Then figure out why.

Throwing a used fuel pump at it is no help at all.

Default it spins but won't start, my battery meter on my dash says I got 12 volts, but

I don't have a voltage meter because I'm up at school. My spark plugs have been replaced recently so that's what led me to believe it is a fueling issue. Also since the car is on an incline could this mean that the fuel pump is not able to draw fuel from the tank to the engine? I don't think it is a compression problem because the car was running perfect 2 days ago. Problem pretty much started when I parked my car on the driveway. I just don't get why cleaning the ISV and replacing the ECT fixed the problem but 5 min later my engine wouldn't even start.

Default maybe you just flooded it, which means either wait a day or try starting it with WOT

and crank it for about 20 secs till it catches.

Any codes? It could be a cam sensor
