timing marks
2005 a4 2.0t fsi a/t 150k . how can i check all timing marks after cam chain and tensioner replacement. all look good but intake looks 1 off. while hand cranking the intake cam will snap forward real fast making a semi loud "snap like crack" just before TDC

i think its the vvt? the pin is still intact on the back of it. i'm fixing it for a friend. it came to me via tow truck and sounded like the truck. new chain , tension and gaskets from dealer. i just dont know why the cam or chain jumps when turning it by hand to check marks
