Hi guys, recently purchased a 2007 A3 2.0T used engine from an engine broker and when I put it on the engine stand to visually inspect before installing I tried to manually turn the engine. I used wrench to turn the engine slowly clockwise to ensure everything was moving ok however I can only turn it about 180-degrees before it stops. The timing belt cover was removed and everything looks ok, no issues there. I also removed the spark plugs and valve cover and everything appears to be moving just fine up there as well. The used engine comes with a 45-day warranty so I don't want to install it if something is not right. Why wouldn't allow me to turn all the way around? The timing belt appears to be on correctly however i cant get it to TDC because it jams up. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
