Is Audi cheating on "oil consumption test" on 2.0TFSI?
I am on my second "oil consumption test" and, as on the first test, my 2.0TFSI consumes almost no oil (7/8th left in MMI since the test started, so 1/8th of a liter in 950km). Before that, it consumed 1L/1500km. I haven't been driving differently nor has the city/highway ratio been different.
INFO:
Audi A4 B8 2.0TFSI - 2011
The first 15.000km, it consumed 1L/5000km. Directly after the 1 service (15.000km), it started consuming more (1L/2.800km), which I recon is very strange and maybe linked to a software update. Now, 60.000km, it consumes 1L/1500km.
When I started the test, the technician at the dealer told me the ECU was calculating the consumption (in mm), no weighing of the oil. So, after all the software lies on the diesel engines, I was thinking they probably would do the same on the oil consumption problem if they could... That way, they can kick the can down the road...
What do you guys think? I have a VagCom 12.12 cable, could I check what they are doing software wise?
Thx!
