Does oil consumption issue affect newer models?

Does oil consumption issue affect newer models?
I have an Audi A5 2010 2.0 TFSI and It's always had this oil consumption issue. Even after they did the part one test and fixes. Right now its under a second round of testing because the consumption seems to be getting worse again.
I'm in the market for a new car and I'm not opposed to getting another Audi, but my question is, do the new models of 2.0 engine have this oil consumption issue? Is it hit and miss, or did Audi actually fix this in new models? What years should I stay away from if buying used?
Futhermore, are there any Audi models you recommend that absolutely do not have this issue?
