Engine overhaul
Alright guys, so last month the Audi garage overhauled my engine in connection with excessive oil consumption (2010 Audi A5). About 3 days after I took the car out of the garage it appeared that the oil level had gone down about 150 ml. About 4 weeks further and it appears that there is only about 200 ml of oil left in the car. The car only drove about 200 miles since the moment I took it out of the garage after completion of the overhaul!! The mechanics told me to drive careful the first 600 miles, without stomping on the gas pedal excessively and I completely complied with this to avoid another repair. I understood that the car might use excessive oil right after the overhaul, but I expect this to be an issue in my case. Any advice?

Ian, the little bar graph represents about 1 liter of oil, NOT the entire amount in the sump.
You need to get some miles on the rebuilt. You can't draw any conclusions so soon.

Thanks for the swift response Uberwgn. The oil bar on the MMI mentions that there is no oil (i.e. the oil level of 1 liter is down to the bottom stripe of the oil bar). Can I keep driving or should I refill in that case? From you message below I understand that I can keep driving until the car warns me to add oil. Is that correct?

Yes, but if you see the bar graph is empty, you can be proactive and be prepared to add oil.
