Help, coolant levels

Help, coolant levels
My 2006 audi a4 2.0T engine has been having low coolant levels. We first thought it was hoses but we replaced the hoses and their are no leaks. They pressure tested it when they fixed the hoses and it came back alright. Any ideas on what's happening?
Also I have replaced the anti freeze before but no clue where it goes. I decided to stop filling it for a week to see what happens if the dashboard says low levels.

Need to look around the engine for signs of whitish powder which is typical of dried coolant. Also what's the state of your coolant tank? On my 2005 Audi, it had hairline cracks that were leaking coolant when hot though I was seeing residue on the outside of tank as well. You could also check to see if there is any white smoke out the exhaust when you rev the engine - that's a typical sign of coolant leakage into the cylinders.
Finally there's a coolant flange on the rear of the engine which seems to be another weak area as far as the coolant system is concerned.
