Default Looking at buying a 2009 A4 need help

I have the opportunity to buy a 2009 A4 2.0T 124k miles Premium for $6500. The seller says the car idles rough but its a vacum leak nothing big. It had the oil consumpion issue fixed and the plastic water pump was replaced. Timing belts have not been replaced yet. Would you guys recommend this buy?

If it is idling rough it could be many things. Before making a decision I would pull some codes off of it. Rough Idle can be tune up, throttle body service/need to reset the throttle body. but if the timing belt has not been done yet and the water pump was changed I would not take the risk. If the water pump needed to be changed then they should have done the timing belt. I could be wrong but the belt does cost much and to get to the pump you would have to take the belt off. Rough idle could be something more. Unless you can get a VAG Com on it, I would not risk it.

Honestly, stay away from it. Especially that many km with a turbo. If anything I would get the 3.2. A used turbo is approx 700-1000$ plus labor. And vacuum leak could turn your 6500 car into a 6500 junk. If he was gonna fix it he would have already, but he's passing his problem on to you. The A4s are cheap now esp 09 get one with 80-100 miles where the turbo has been serviced. Also, I'm pretty sure those have timing chain, which can cost $2000 to fix if they rattle.
