Default Missfire under load lack of power replaced all coils

I have an 06 2.0t quattro with the 6 speed manual I've been experiencing a large lack of power from the old butt dyno I'd say I only have like 120 horse and if I give it too much throttle input it missfires heavily I have no engine light even to the point where I've matted it and tried to get one it missed like crazy flashes the engine light at me then i backed off and it went away I've replaced all 4 coils this is a little over my head so I went to my local mechanic and he said he thinks it's the timing chane pr belt but that wouldnt explain the lack of power would it?

WOW lots of us are having similar issues...

I too have it, dealer told me it was the turbo...it did have lots of play, I replaced that (new turbo) along with other items I read could cause this.

To date, I have replaced: PCV oil separator, N75 valve, plugs, coils, de-carbon the intake cylinders, cleaned the MAF and throttle body, 4 new injectors, checked all over for vacuum or boost leaks....holy crap I am at a total lose here...

PS now the dealer says it needs a new timing chain, however it has the new tensioner and when I run a ODBeleven live data, the "chain stretch" is well within OEM spec.

I did this "live data" boost comparison from my ODBeleven, it looks at the specified to actual boost values... really strange to me but I am a rookie..haha
