Whining noise associated with RPM Help!!!
2009 A4 2.0t with 85000 miles, some performance upgrades...
For the last month or so I have been hearing a whining noise (sounds like rubbing belt) from the front end. I replaced the idler pulley and tensioner pulley, but still hear the whine clear as day. When I accelerate the whine grows in pitch and volume (congruent with rpm level) and when I decelerate, the volume and pitch decrease. Does anyone else know if this could be either power steering pump (although the steering performance is fine and doesn't make the usual groan that most ps issues have when turning) or any other pulleys on the serp belt?
