Default 00 2.7t fuel problems i think

Ok. I bought my car 2000 a6 2.7t AUTOMATIC back in august, with 80000 miles in jersey. drove it all the way home to montana! car ran great. So i get home and now my (audi dealer says) my front control arms are gone, the front end is loose and it makes noise when i turn, they want 800 dollars and say you can't just get new bearings? <<< thats the first problem.
The second is i was driving one day on high way at 80mph and all the sudden the car JERKS like bam, like power was almost cut off then it regained and kept doing it like i was just punching the gas and letting off ya know. and now it does it quite often. Not everytime i drive, but its just random. it can be from 10mph to 100mph. and sometimes it will last for 2-5 mintues. or just do it once.. im really stunned.. I almost think maybe its missin, plugs coils, ? i don't know anyone have any idea on this

MUCH APPCRIEATED

Default

Use a VAGCOM on your car. Don't go to the dealer for control arms. Go independent.

Default Yeah Vag Com ur car. If u dont have one, there is a Vag Com locator link posted in the forum where

people who has a Vag Com are listed with State and Town and even emails so they can be contacted.

I agree with QuickAudi, dont go to Audi Dealer. Instead, search the forum for Audi independent shops. I believe there is a list somewhere with a lot of good shops recommended by people from the forum.

Find one close to you and do business there. Dealer is going to rip you off big time!!

Good luck with your car!!

Default Staggering might be your Turbos?

I have the same car, but 6 speed. Mine did the same thing (maybe not as bad as your), but in higher gears only. Indy shop Vag'd the car and found that something in the turbos had come disconnected - something to do with the wastegates. I'm no expert so that's all I can tell you. As soon as they reconnected, the problem stopped. Maybe you have the same issue? As far as control arms go, you need to find out how many control arms need replacing. Again, I don't know details but there are several on each side. I had one replaced and it cost ~$200. Good luck.
