Hello all. I'm new to this site and need a little help.

I have a 2000 A6 2.7T. I recently had my timing belt snap. I need to either replace both heads or have them rebuilt. I've been searching for APB heads but don't seem to be having any luck. The few places I found want the casting number (i guess its stamped inside the head) but my mechanic doesn't want to rip the motor apart until he has the rebuilt heads.

Any suggestions? Are there multiple head choices in a APB engine? Does anyone know a reliable place to have heads rebuilt in the Cicago area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
