2.7 T totally clogged PCV lines

My Allroad have 280k miles and I have had a bad oil leak for a while, after changing the seals on the pax side chain adjuster, the pcv line broke as I was going to connect it back to the valve cover. That is when I discovered that it was totally clogged, I decided to remove the whole PCV "spider" and all the lines were clogged. No wonder I had an oil leak, the pressure was blowing out the oil and the seals all over the engine instead of being vented to the intake and the crank case.

I highly recommend cleaning out the PCV if you have an oil leak, cleaning it out might stop the leak and you might not have to change the chain adjuster seals.

The ones on my 2.8 Avant were like that. I was using 1-2 quarts of oil a week! After cleaning them all out no consumption on 7500 miles synthetic oil changes.

Is that a new PCV system on the bottom pic or a new spider system? I'm thinking mine won't be as bad as it only has 75k on the clock. However I do have to keep an eye on the oil level. Good catch BTW.

The spider system IS the PCV system.

The bottom pictures are after I cleaned out all lines and the catch can.
You can see where I broke one of the lines, I just used some rubber hose to keep them joined together.
