2000 audi s4 spudding under full acceleration
driving my new audi for the first time today since delivery. it has an apr 93 octane chip, evolution motorsports intake, and a borla exhaust. anyways i was driving the car to get it to operating temp and when it finally warmed up i decided to see what it had. well i take off from a stop sign lightly and get to second gear and lay into it. the boost guage goes to up and as soon as it gets to 10psi the engine starts missing and acting up. so i get out of it and baby it back home..... i checked the throttle body boot and all other hoses but can't find any cracks or holes anywhere.... any advice guys??

Re: 2000 audi s4 spudding under full acceleration
dude i feel bad for you but you need to share in my pain...
im having the exact same problem with my S4.
here are my symptoms:
on hard acceleration the engine starts to struggle.
full boost is reached but then cut back to 5lbs
I get a misfire in cylinder number 4.
here are some of the things i tried:
1. checked and replaced the spark plugs
2. switched the coils.
3. switched the ICM/POS to see if misfire follows.
4. replaced Speed engine sensor.
5. replaced Exhaust Temperature Sensor.
6. did a pressure test on all cylinders.
7. did a pressure test on intake to check if there is a air leak or if there is a broken hose.
8. replaced TBB.
9. Seafoam treatment.
try those for now... your problem might be different then mine. only thing i can tell that was different was that i was getting misfires.
try to get an OBD2 scanner or ever better a VAG-COM system.
try those things and hopefully youll find what the problem is.
