Default 2001 audi a6 2.7t

I bought a 2.7t a6 today for a steal. But noticed a loud noise that sounds like air blowing loudly at the passenger fender. This cant be normal.. But it is my first turbo car. Im guessing (hoping) its a intake leak and not the a turbo its self. Dont know much so any info would be great

Sounds like one of your hoses may have popped of by your intercooler. Check to make sure all of the hoses are tight. Let me know what you find out.

All hoses tight. Took a peek inside air filter as well seemed like it came from that location but nothing seems wrong. Everything is good until i get to 2nd or 3rd gear thats when it starts blowing loudly. Maybe thats just when the turbos kick in. Could a dv be stuck somehow? (Engine light is on)
