A6 2.7t exhaust options
I searched the forums, nothin i didnt know there. Im looking for a cat back for my 2.7t, and im trying to avoid spending 1200 on a catback system. Beside from making my own or having some jackass do it, are there any cheaper options? my 2.7t sounds like a fan. I want some noise, and no, coffee cans dont work for me. just putting tips on it wont help me either. I want some sound but not too much. Does ANYONE HAVE SOUND CLIPS OF SAY AN APR EXHAUST ON AN OTHERWISE STOCK 2.7T? Any clips i find are of a totally modded car, or a car with a full exhaust system. I cant see just ordering the exhast for 1249 only to find out it sounds like ****.

I put on an RS6 exhaust system NON SOUND ENHANCED. The cheaper one that you can actually find on rs6.com. I paid $180 DELIVERED. Car sounds GREAT. Just like I wanted it to and sees to rev a little freer. I didnt wanna drop$1500 either. THats RIDICILOUS

Good luck. You won't find an aftermarket catback for a 2.7 for less than 1200.00>>>
Maybe you should get the local muffler shop jackass to do a 2.5 inch catback exhaust for you and be happy. I know, i've searched and searched for an aftermarket exhaust, and I can't find a reasonably priced system for a 2.7.

What year is your A6? I just installed Milltek Cat-Back for my 01 2.7t the other day. Def worth the $1600. Although they did send me the wrong one. 2002 exhaust instead of 2001. Had to cut my valence since the tip stick right out. The whole set up used to be cheaper. Most place who stock Milltek now are changing their prices to $1999. It have a slightly deeper note now. Not so much you'll be drawing of the car thieves. From inside the car, it sound like a completely different beast.
One question. What should i do with the stock exhaust. Is it worth anything? If not where can i dispose of it. Can i just drive it to a junk yard?
