Anyone know if the 01E center diff is the same amongst the 2.7t's

I have a welded center diff. I am hunting for another one for my 2000 S4. Can I use the same t2 out of a six speed 01e from other models? S's are hard to find in the yard and part outs have been tough to get the diff away from a trans. Thanks!

I believe that all the S4 and A6 2.7ts have the same center diff but the all roads have a different gearing.

The gearing doesn't affect anything if your just grabbing the center though right? Auto is a no go though to manual right?

Auto to manual is a no go but any 2000+ t2. All the A6s and all roads with manual transmissions would fit. You can also use on from a 3.0 b6 a4 up to 02.5. Any 6 speed transmission with the part numbers 01E 409 751 E or 01E 409 751 F. Your right on the center diff not mattering.
