Default APR 2.7t booast increase?

I just installed a boost gauge today, and I can't get the pressure past 10 psi... I assume APR's tune brings it up to 14.5 (1-bar), but shouldn't I be throwing a code if I've got THAT bad of a leak? Could it just be a bad boost gauge?

I have a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T.

I had the APR tuning to 93 octane done three years ago and never got a boost gauge but wanted one. Could you tell me more details about yours and how to install it?

Once, about two years ago, my boost would build and then go away while accelerating. My mechanic replaced a rubber boot on my intake between my turbos on the engine for very little charge and it fixed the problem. Maybe you have a leak? I didn't get any error codes from that.

I have APR 93 and am spiking at 19 and holding 16. I once had 10 pounds of boost, when i put my 710n's in and forgot to put the vacuum line on bank 2 dv.

I got a set of center vents from the junk yard, took a 2 inch hole saw to it, bought a VDO Vision series boost / vacuum gauge and it looks great. The red matches pretty well. There is a certain bulb you can get to make it brighter / match better, but I like the fact that its not brighter than the cluster and radio. Ill post a picture up of my install soon.

I also have a spare NIB gauge like mine that is for sale if anyone is interested. I can also make you up a vent to put it in.

I tried it today in stock mode, and 91 APR tune mode, there's definitely a difference. I got it to peak at 15.1 today (on tune), and 11 psi (in stock mode), but it sure doesn't hold very high...

Would my altitude make that much difference? (I'm at 3500')

edit: oh, and I installed it correctly, I believe, tee'd it from the line from the intake manifold, to the fuel pressure regulator. I did replace that original line though, with a slightly smaller diameter one (all I had in my tool box), would that be hurting me?

Quite steady, at idle it's around -8.0psi, after the car is warmed up. (16.3 in.hg)
