Default b5 coolant resevoir

had the system flushed by dealer but the coolant is still murky looking and resevoir had gunk inside.... looking to replace it. would a B5 A4 resevoir fit in my S4? any input would be greatly appreciated...

don't think they are the same. just get the S4 one and go on.

I think so. I have S4 and A4 2.8. they look the same iirc

Default Part # 8D0 121 403L is the exact same tank, the 2.7t uses one with an "M" suffix and the only

difference is the overflow tube connector that directs any overflow behind the heat shield and away from turbo housing. This connector can be re-used. To reiterate - 8D0 121 403M is the exact same tank as the 8D0 121 403L (in fact it will have that "L" suffix part number molded into the tank), you are paying $20+ for that little fitting for the overflow tube. B5 Passat w/ 2.8L ATQ engine uses the same tank and cap. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, but I have posted about this B4 on the B5 S4 forum.
