B5 S4 - I wanna stay convinced.

I am seriously thinking about purchasing an S4 (B5)
however, I've been reading some horror stories about the inferior K03 stock turbos after modification (damaged turbos).I intend on using this car as a daily driver, with slight mods ie: chip/ exhaust etc.
How realistic are my expectations of wanting to keep the original turbos, and performing these slight mods to maintain driveability? Thanks for your input.

All turbo cars blow turbos, even stock - if out of warranty then do the basics

and you should be good.

Samco TBB or BiPipe
CT Clamps
Coolant Temp Sensor Upgrade
Oil changes with synthetic 3~5K

and so on ...

As long as you let your turbos warm up and cool down, u should have no problem. Ive done the same intro mods and have had no prob. Go for the S4 !

whats coolent temp sensor upgrade? I remember when I first bought the car the dealer replaced the coolent sensor for one that was more acurate and wouldn't simply sit at dead center....is that what you are refering too? Any way 55k on my K03's, MTM gen II ECU since day one and still fine, boost is spot on spec and no wines. Change oil every 3k with 0 weight moble 1 and replaced TBB with Senco years ago.
