blue devil head gasket repair. anybody ever used or had success with this product?

Uh no sorry, that kind of stuff never works. On engines like these, with steel multilayer head gaskets, they dont blow the head gasket, they warp the head and then the gasket gets breached. You need to pull the heads and have them machined.

Ya I agree with the above poster. That stuff is junk for a motor and causes much.more severe problems down the road like clogged radiator and worn impellor shaft of water pump. Its designed for old school stuff like carved motors with the thick headgaskets.you might as well removed the heads and check for warpage. If they are very far warped like 0.020" then replace the head because even shaved it will still be warped where the cams sit and do a number on your cams.
