Default Boost problem / leak I have problems with the boost, recently I installed

a boost gauge. The car has a whoshing sound when acelerated form aprox 4000 rpm to redline. I have done the following wiht no results.

New diverter vales (710n)
intake pressure test - no leaks

The car peaks to aprox 17 psi and drops to 10 psi on WOT.
When car has been driven for more than 15 minutes it goes into limp mode.

What else should I check?

By that you meen take all the hoses, dismonunt them and check them?

Doesn`t the leak test cover this?

Thanks

Default the leak test *should* cover this, but it's also done in a low stress setup.

You aren't flexing any of the hoses, especially the TBB, when you test. Any leak that's under a clamp might go unnoticed until you get on the throttle and twist it around and loosen the clamping force.

Default Re: I did change the TBB to an original, sorry I didn?t mention it before, I installed

a OEM instead of the Samco, acutally that was one of the first things I did, because I had a brand new one.

How can you tell if a hose is "bad". My Samco TBB was not torn like the ones I`ve seen in pictures in this forum, but it seemed that the clamp was overtightend.

Thanks

VAG the car for codes, see if you can get a handheld wideband on there to see how that looks.

Default A bad hose should have a hose somewhere. What did the VAG say?

Also, what's your ride height?

Default Re: haven't "VAG" yet, and I'm not sure about my ride height, how do you

adjust the coilovers, I mean from where do you take the measurements?

Thanks

Default make sure you use the VAG locator or at least go to your local auto parts store

and get your codes scanned.

ride height is measured from the top of the wheel well to the ground

mine adjust by screwing the perch up/down the body of the shock
