Default Burning Oil smell?

Hey all, on my 2000 A6 2.7T (93,000 miles) I am starting to smell what I think is burning of oil coming from my engine, most of the time from moderate to hard acceleration. Anyone know off-hand what the car is trying to tell me? I'd appreciate the response.

Default Sounds like it thinks you forgot it was an Audi. You'll start to hear suspension clunks over bumps

next and then the resale value will plummet like an ultralight that just ran out of gas. Seriously, it likely is cylinder head area oil seal or possibly turbo oil line leak. Classis cam tensioner seal oil smell is at cold weather startup and while idling (like at a stoplight).

Better pinpoint the source of that leak.

Default just replaced valve cover and cam adjuster gaskets

I had a burning oil smell at 50k. The dealer replaced the valve cover and cam adjuster gaskets. I'm under the extended warranty, so it cost me 50 bucks to get it fixed. The paperwork list $1300!

I read somewhere that the leaking gaskets could cause sludge buildup in the engine? Is that true?
