My A/C has been cutting in and out for a little over a year. I've taking it to get diagnosed, and they said it's the compressor. My problem is, if it's the compressor, wouldn't it always blow warm air, and not kick back on when I'm driving? Wouldn't it be something else that would cause the compressor to not kick in? I'm thinking it's the high pressure switch, but not sure. Has anyone had this problem, and figured out what it was? I don't want to replace the compressor if that's not it because it's PRICEY!! I'm in Dallas, and many of the places around here really try to rip you off, so I'm reluctant to take that diagnosis to heart. It cuts out usually at the stop light, but can do it going down the road too. It goes out sometimes a few seconds, sometimes over 10 minutes. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
