Camshaft Position Sensor Code
My 2004 Allroad 2.7T has check engine light on. Code PO345 is for Camshaft Positon Sensor B2 and also a code for the O2 sensor adjacent to the fuel injectors. Mechanic 1 replaced the CPS but the code came back. Mechanic 2 says the wiring harness is corroded and needs to be replaced ($2,000). I am skeptical. Car runs fine. No symptoms. Timing belt was done at 72K miles. Car now has 99K miles on it. The female plug for the CPS does have burn marks on it.
