Can a chip for a ko3 setup be modified for use with ko4s? . . . .
I am considering a chip for my early model 2000 A6 2.7t six-speed with 45k miles and the original ko3s, but I have read that these turbos could give up fairly quickly with a high boost chip. If they fail and I upgrade to ko4s, I presume I will need an upgraded chip as well. Can the chip for the ko3s be upgraded inexpensively, or do I need to factor in another $1k plus in for another new chip if the ko3s die quickly? Thanks.
