Default Catalytic converter issues **PLEASE HELP**

I have a 2003 Audi A6 Allroad with just over 115,000 miles and I believe the catalytic converter is blocked/plugged and the smell of rotten eggs comes out of the exhaust. I need to find out what my options are to fix/eliminate the issue. I know parts aren't too cheap, but I am on a budget. Any and all input will be greatly appreciated and taken into consideration. Thanks in advance everyone!

You can try a can of acetone, but if it's really clogged, probably won't help. If the car only runs smoothly at very light throttle and bogs, stutters and misses under power, I would think, you need to replace the cats. You can gut them and add spacers to the rear O2 sensors so you don't throw a code.
