In all actuality, if were you truly reading my post intentions, you'd see that I get quite irritated at this question being asked for many reasons.
1. The archives give the answer, hundreds of times over.
2. No qualifications were made in the post.
3. No other choices were given, and there are many others that should/could be considered.

I know what you're saying, the question does get tiresome....
Give people the benefit of the doubt sometime. The chip debate is usually a question that comes from someone new to these cars. They might not know the importance of listing "qualifications" or even about different brands of chips.
But I agree the archives have plenty on this topic.

Do whatever the shop closest to you is. That way if there is a problem, then you don't have to ship
out your ECU and wait, instead of driving to the purchasing shop and getting it done quicker.
