Default where are you, what was the outside temperature, what mph was this race at,

how many miles are on your car, are you chipped, do you have an OCK, what oil and oil filter do you use, and what are your normal ranges?

Default This was answered on the C5 A6 forum. Higher engine loads/speeds produce more heat and thus raise

the temps of the oil and coolant. Simple physics and logic...

Default yup, which is why I asked about speed. if this was a 40-80 race, maybe

his oil temps were a tad high, unless he's in 80 degree weather in Florida or California.

However, if it was a 70-120 or so race, sure, I could probably see that.

Default That answer should have been to him and not you. I see your point, but I assume it was really basic

on his part and he should realize the cause and effect relationship.
