Cold Air Intake for A6 2.7T
Hey guys I have a 2001 A6 2.7T with manual transmission and I know little about this engine. My dad gave me this car and I want to do some performance upgrades. I have installed an APR performance chip and I heard that having more and colder air intake would allow the computer to operate for efficiently. Is this true? and if so what does everyone recommend and are there any videos directing how to make such a change? Thanks guys just supportive comments would be appreciated. I don't know much so just educate me a little bit.

Stock intake is best. Gut the pre-cats or get downpipes and save your money for maintenance.

Thanks!

dont advice gutting cats. I like the air i breath thanks, telling people to remove one of the biggest emission devices to make their car marginally quicker is bull**** and incredibly selfish. You not going to gain anything removing a good cat.

Bull****. The 2.7 has precats. Removing them keeps the turbos alive longer, and definitely helps the engine breath. The main cats stay intact, and are the primary NOX reduction device anyway.
